Sourdough bakers bring in loaves and boules, buns and rolls, and sweets such as scones to be judged at the Hometown USA Stage in the Expo Center. Judges score each entry on appearance, uniform shape, color, texture and flavor before an overall grand champion is picked. Winning breads stay on display through the rest of the fair.
